Texas State Technical College

  • Specialty degree programs typically include Associate of Applied Science in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology, Diesel Equipment Technology/ Heavy Truck Specialization, Mechanical Engineering Technology.

Wharton County Junior College

  • Offers low cost, non-credit courses designed to be responsive to community and business needs. Courses are provided at University of Houston - Sugar Land Campus, Fort Bend Technical Center, or onsite at local businesses. Programs typically include:
    • Language Programs:  English as a Second Language, Spanish.
    • Computer Training Programs:  Beginning Computers, Beginning Computers in Spanish, Introduction to MS Excel, Introduction to MS Word, Introduction to MS PowerPoint, MS Office 2007 Update, and Using a Blackberry
  • Customized Programs:
    • Training programs can be customized to meet the needs of businesses. Typically courses can be developed and implemented in less than a month.  (ex:  Fiber Optics Technician certification)
