The Lake Pointe Redevelopment District represents one of Sugar Land’s largest and most promising redevelopment efforts. Encompassing roughly 70 acres within the Lake Pointe Regional Activity Center, the area is anchored by the former 52-acre Fluor campus, vacated in July 2024.
When Fluor announced its departure in 2023, the City acted swiftly—adopting a custom zoning district in December 2023 and approving a 53-acre concept plan by May 2025. In just 18 months, the City moved from visioning to full development approval, demonstrating its commitment to speed-to-market and proactive planning.
The result is Lake Pointe Green—a walkable, modern community blending residential, civic, and recreational uses. Led by Houston-based Lovett Group, a developer known for high-impact mixed-use projects, Lake Pointe Green will transform this legacy corporate campus into a vibrant, connected destination. City-led investments—including demolition, infrastructure, and park development—will further support a pedestrian-friendly environment designed for long-term growth and high-quality urban living.
Through this proactive, market-ready approach, Sugar Land is positioning Lake Pointe Green as one of the most impactful redevelopment projects in the City’s history.
