Great Homes Programs
Sugar Land offers two programs to help homeowners improve their properties:
Great Homes Update Program
Get reimbursed for approved exterior home improvements.
All available funding has been fully committed in FY26. Applications may reopen on January 1, 2027, pending budget approval.
Great Homes Design Program
Receive a custom exterior home design at a discounted rate, exclusive to Sugar Land residents.
Use your design to earn an extra 2% reimbursement through the Update Program.
Applications open February 2026.
Program Highlights
Since Launch in February 2023:
- 300+ home improvement projects completed
- Over $5.3 million invested in home improvements
- More than $790,000 reimbursed to homeowners
- Average reimbursement per homeowner: $2,613
