Redevelopment in Sugar Land

Priority Project
Imperial Historic District
Backed by unanimous City Council support, Sugar Land now owns a rare and iconic piece of its history. The approximately 40-acre Imperial Historic District isn’t just land; it’s a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reimagine the heart of Sugar Land into a vibrant, mixed-use destination that honors the past while driving future growth. The City is committed to partnering with the right developer to create a place rooted in community, culture, and connection, and built to stand the test of time.
Priority Project
Lake Pointe Redevelopment District
Once home to Fluor’s 1-million-square-foot corporate campus, Lake Pointe is now one of Sugar Land’s largest and most exciting redevelopment opportunities. With concept plans approved and demolition slated for later this year, a vibrant new residential district is just around the corner.
Priority Project
Sugar Land Town Square
Sugar Land Town Square has been the heart of Sugar Land since it opened as part of the City's first public-private partnership in 2003. The 32-acre downtown mixed-use district exemplifies the City’s long-standing commitment to placemaking and public-private collaboration.
