About Us
Sugar Land’s Office of Economic Development is made up of two departments and three collaborative teams: Economic Development, Tourism, and Redevelopment. Together, they attract and support businesses, drive visitor engagement, and revitalize key areas across the city.
Through this unified effort, the City creates primary jobs, generates sales and Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) revenue, and invests in transformative projects like Imperial Historic District and Lake Pointe—fueling Sugar Land’s growth and long-term success.
Corporation Boards
The Corporation is managed by a board of seven directors, serving two-year terms, responsible for reviewing and making recommendations on the economic development policy needs of the City of Sugar Land such as strategic partnerships, incentive guidelines, annual budgets and project selection and funding.
