Sugar Land Ranks 3rd on Livability’s 2026 Top 100 Best Places to Live

Prosperous growth, top-tier healthcare access and approachable cost of living propel the city to the top of the list for a second year in a row 

 

SUGAR LAND, TX – April 1, 2026– For a second year in a row, the City of Sugar Land has earned a top-three spot ranked among the 2026 Top 100 Best Places to Live by Livability.comThis data-driven list highlights standout small to mid-sized cities for living and working based on eight categories. Sugar Land ranked highest for its low cost of living, highly educated workforce, business-friendly environment and excellent medical care.    

 Sugar Land blends the rich cultural diversity of nearby Houston, the nation’s fourth-largest city, with the ease and charm of a modern, connected community. Residents and visitors enjoy hidden culinary gems, top-tier entertainment venues, engaging museums, expansive parks and outdoor spaces, and a lively calendar of festivals and events.
