Sugar Land Skeeters Named Houston Astros AAA Franchise Team

Have you heard the news? The Sugar Land Skeeters are the new Class AAA affiliate of the Houston Astros! The Skeeters will compete in the Pacific Coast league starting in the 2021 season. The Skeeters have played in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball since 2012 and have spent the last nine seasons in the independent ranks, winning championships in 2016 and 2018.

The Skeeters will remain in Sugar Land and will continue to play at our world class stadium, Constellation Field. Constellation Field opened in 2012 and has a 7,500-seat capacity. The stadium is the result of a partnership between the City, Sugar Land 4B Corporation, the developer and the Sugar Land Skeeters. The City constructed the facility using a special quarter cent sales tax fund restricted for economic development purposes from the Sugar Land 4B Corporation.
