For Ternio, a national healthcare software and services provider, Sugar Land was the perfect place to put down roots and grow. Founded in 2014, the company operates on a mission to create and provide hospitals with a 360-degree approach to surgical management with medical instruments, software and services. Â
Ternio Grows Regional Presence to New HeightsÂ
Ternio spent its first five years in Houston, building relationships with top hospitals like Memorial Hermann, Houston Methodist and MD Anderson,. During that time they were delivering solutions for instrument management, improving turnaround times, integrating technology, and assuring superior quality for its clients. In 2020, the company sought a new and improved location for its growing operations, and Sugar Land was the natural choice.Â
The city’s strategic location was one reason for the decision: uniquely situated off major Interstate 69/U.S. Highway 59 and 90, it offers easy access to the Texas Medical Center for both commuters and product distribution. Coupled with its proximity to FedEx, Sugar Land provided an unbeatable location for the national distribution capabilities that Ternio sought. Â
The Sweet Life Brings SuccessÂ
For Ternio’s employees, the move brought another major highlight: Sugar Land’s excellent quality of life. With vibrant culture, beautiful landscapes and warm hospitality, the city offers a perfect blend of Southern charm and urban amenities, not to mention delicious cuisine thanks to its diverse population. In 2023, it was named the #5 Best Place to Live in the U.S., thanks to its ideal balance of convenience and comfort. Â
Since moving to Sugar Land in 2020, Ternio has tripled its square footage, even shuttering its Kentucky operations to migrate to the city and most recently. Here, they’ve been able to maintain partnerships of over 10 years with some of the biggest names in the area – in fact, Ternio boasts an impressive 100% customer retention rate since its founding. They recently added a new location in San Antonio and with more expansions in the works, the future is sweet for Ternio. Â
